4ABC and Top League students watching Belfast

BHAK Korneuburg`s fourth grade students and their English teachers went to the Votiv cinema in Vienna on Friday, 18 March to watch Belfast, which received seven nominations at the Academy Awards.

My name is Sarah and I’m the English Language Assistant at the BHAK Korneuburg this year. I’m from Cincinnati, Ohio and I graduated this past year with a Bachelor’s degree in History, German and International Studies from Ohio State University.

A cosy, though increasingly claustrophobic guesthouse, cut off from the world by a terrible snowstorm – it is here that a group of eight complete strangers is stranded. Each of them has their own well-kept secret and … one of them is a murderer.

My name is Leana and I am the English Language Assistant at the BHAK Korneuburg for the 2019-2020 school year. I am 23 years old and I am from the United States.

Neither a new pupil, nor a guest speaker at our school… Mario Brighton is just one of the souvenirs brought back from our language week in Great Britain from 6th April to 13th April.

Language week of 4b and 4c in Bray/Dublin

“If you don’t like the weather, wait for 10 minutes” – The students of 4b and 4c found out about the meaning of this Irish “saying” … and that sometimes you have to wait a little longer to see the sunny side of Bray.

On Friday, 29 March 2019, all the pupils from grades 3 to 5 watched the popular and successful drama “Hamlet”, which was acted by the Vienna’s English Theatre group.

A night at Vienna’s English Theatre in Josefsgasse is one of the extracurricular activities offered to our “Top League” – now in its highly successful third year of existence -  as well as to interested fifth-year students.

At the end of June 2018 Sandra Vrdoljak (one of our last year’s school representatives, now 5 B) passed the Cambridge Business English Certificate (BEC) Higher, Level C1, as the youngest candidate sitting for the exam at that date.
