Sprachreise 2021

Yes, indeed, it is possible to take students abroad even in times of Corona. Class 5b are evidence of that. Just 5 days into the new school year, 20 students and 2 teachers, all fully vaccinated, of course, embarked on a trip to Bray/ Ireland. And, hesitant as we initially were, I think we can say that the trip was a great success.

Wicklow Jail and the ruins of the black castle right on the cliffs, the wonderful monastic settlement of Glendalough, the cliff walk along Bray Head (with 2 seals playing in the water as a special treat!), the gloomy castle of Malahide with its ghosts and, last but not least, the Dublin centre with its wonderful sights were all part of our sightseeing programme just like in the “olden days “ (= before Corona). The lessons in the morning – fun, informative and entertaining – just like in the “olden days”. What was different? Masks and test sets are inevitable. So is the need for responsible behaviour on the part of everybody involved. But it can be done. So folks, get your jab and book your trips. The locals are more than happy to have you!
