Sprachwoche in Bray

Due to the pandemic the tradition of going on language weeks just before Easter could not be continued. 27 students of 4BK went to Bray in June to boost their English.

Divided into two groups, our students had lessons with native speakers in the morning. Topics like CVs, personal values, and debates about artificial intelligence were on the agenda.

Afternoons were mostly spent in Dublin, where they enjoyed a guided tour, visited Malahide Castle, and got a glimpse of Bronze Age gold exhibits and the bog bodies in the National Museum.

A day trip took us to Glendalough, the monastic site in the “valley of the two lakes“, and to Wicklow Goal, where they got an insight into the harsh conditions in Ireland in former centuries.

After a week of chilly, windy, and rainy weather in Ireland, we could not quite believe that Austrians back home were complaining about the heat.
