Studying English in Ireland is a long-standing tradition of the fourth-year students of our school. This year 13 students spent their language week in Dublin from 10 to 17 April. Placed in host families in Bray, in the south of the capital city, they got a taste of Irish cuisine and hospitality.
Language classes in the morning and excursions in the afternoon kept the students busy. Guinness Storehouse, Powerscourt, and Glendalough were just a few of the sights on the students’ itinerary. A breathtaking cliff walk and watching dogs race at Shelbourne Park Greyhound Stadium completed an unforgettable week.
Although the schedule was tight there was still time for extensive shopping sprees and a nice cuppa in the city centre. At times wet and chilly the weather proved the cliché of rainy Ireland right, nonetheless, it was hard to bid farewell to the green island and its friendly and welcoming people.
